St. Louis Rams No. 10 overall Todd Gurley was looked at by many as the best prospect in the 2015 NFL Draft. But a torn ACL during the 2014 season left many to wonder if he’ll be taken in the top 10. There was a lot of debate over it as a torn ACL doesn’t mean the same thing to a running back as it used to.

Many compared him to Adrian Peterson, who rushed for over 2,000 yards the next season after he tore his ACL. But still everyone reacts to surgery differently so it takes guts to predict a good future for such a player. And right now, that’s paying off for the Rams, who’s prediction for a bright future for Gurley is coming into fruition.

The kid has shown he has it all from size, (6’1″,225) vision, patience, power, acceleration and speed. He also has a little pitter-patter to make you miss just as easy as he can break through tackles. That is an unstoppable blend of talents for a running back to have and that’s what Gurley has been in his last three games.

After testing the water in Week 3, Gurley started his assault on the NFL for the first three starts of his career. In that span, he has rushed for 442 yards and two touchdowns, averaging six yards per carry. His three-game start has him in the company of great Rams running backs like Marshall Faulk and Eric Dickerson.

The Rams were contenders when they had Faulk and Dickerson in the fold and there’s evidence that it will be the same for Gurley. Since he stared playing, the Rams did lose to the Green Bay Packers but they beat the undefeated-at-the-time Arizona Cardinals. They have a great defense over there to so they’re about one player away from being contenders now.

Gurley makes that much of a difference.
