In-depth Scouting Report

The Cleveland Browns are in a really tough situation at quarterback thanks mainly to their recent history. They have used first round picks on Johnny Manziel, Brandon Weeden and Brady Quinn in the past several years having none pan out. Using another top pick on a quarterback would be a tough pill to swallow.

I’m sure they’d love to orchestrate a trade with a team looking to move on from an established veteran– maybe someone like Matthew Stafford. They could also look at Sam Bradford again who is far from assured to return to Philadelphia.

If they do look towards the draft Michigan State’s Connor Cook would be a solid option. He features the physical tools needed to succeed at the next level while also showing good leadership ability. His ability to produce in Michigan State’s conservative offense shows he’s willing to play team-based football.
