27. Arizona Cardinals (5-2)- Paxton Lynch, QB, Memphis
Carson Palmer has resurrected his career with the Arizona Cardinals but the fact remains he’s on the back end of his career. Last year, Arizona got a taste of what life will look like when Palmer calls it a career and it wasn’t pretty. Forward thinking franchises are the ones that tend to sustain success.
The best example is the Green Bay Packers and their decision to draft Aaron Rodgers despite having Brett Favre in the mix. Memphis’ Paxton Lynch is a highly talented quarterback prospect who would represent a strong long-term replacement for Palmer.
Lynch would also greatly benefit from sitting behind a veteran like Palmer and learning how to be an NFL quarterback.
