In-depth Scouting Report

The Pernell McPhee signing has been a major home run for GM Ryan Pace and the Chicago Bears. He’s generating some pressure on the quarterback while also providing excellent run support. However, McPhee isn’t the type of player who’ll consistently bring heat off the edge.

Chicago needs to add another pass rusher to the mix and Texas A&M’s Myles Garrett is quickly establishing himself as one of the top pass-rushers in the country. Garrett features a strong build with length needed to keep blockers off his frame. His snap awareness is second to none and allows him to quickly work his way into the backfield.

Garrett’s size and strength also make him a versatile player giving him the potential to play some defensive end in different packages.
