Carr will go at Revis
It’s called Revis Island because it’s deserted and the receiver Revis covers gets nothing ever thrown over there. That allows the safety to cheat more toward the other side of the field, shortening it for him. That won’t work on Carr because he has no problem throwing at any defensive back, not matter how great they are.
He once said at a press conference and I’m paraphrasing him, “If I choose not to throw at a certain area because there’s a great player over there, I’m shrinking the field for the rest of the defense and hurting the team. I just have to go through my progressions and if my guy’s open, I have to throw a good ball and hit him.”
In the first game of his rookie season, he threw at Revis with not-so-good cast of receivers and was 5-6 for 63 yards. That’s a 110 quarterback rating so he doesn’t get nervous throwing in Revis’ direction. Now, he has outstanding rookie receiver Amari Cooper he definitely won’t miss out on an opportunity going his way Sunday.
