Does anyone need a vertical threat?

Well, as all the prospects and projects fall into their respective places this football season, Notre Dame’s Will Fuller is now a prospect. Throughout the season, it’s been really hard to find him on draft boards until lately. But after his performances against Pittsburgh on Saturday, he has established himself as a solid prospect.

The young man has speed to burn as simply runs away from any corner assigned to cover him. NFL scouts are out in full force at these college games these days as team needs have been established lately. So Fuller’s game Saturday was the right kind of performance at the right time to get the draft consideration he’s looking for.

Fuller wasted no time wowing the scouts present, blazing his way to a 47-yard touchdown on the opening drive of the game. In the second quarter, Fuller blazed his way to a 46-yard TD followed by a 14-yard TD where he went up and got one. Fuller is now tied for the school record of 27 career touchdowns, a record currently shared with Jeff Samardzija.

To go along with his three-touchdown, record-tying day, Fuller had seven catches for 152 yards. On the season so far, he has 44 catches for 900 yards, 12 touchdowns and 20.45 yards per catch. The 6’0″, 180-pound junior could stay in school but word on the South Bend streets is that he’s leaning toward entering the 2016 NFL Draft.

His last performance should give the Draft Advisory Board something good to say about that.
