Quarterback play

The quarterback play was outstanding Sunday just like it was back in the games of yesteryear. The shootouts between quarterbacks Terry Bradshaw Ken Stabler were about as epic as it gets. Bradshaw vs Stabler would later give way to Bradshaw vs Jim Plunkett and from there only the names would change.

But now in looks like we have something to where the names aren’t going to change anytime soon. “Big” Ben Roethlisberger has been an elite quarterback for years now and it looks like Derek Carr will soon take his place among the elite. The 38-35 final score is enough to tell us that the two quarterbacks lit up the airways.

Both quarterbacks were 24-44 as Roethlisberger’s 334 yards were slightly better than Carr’s 301. Carr’s four touchdowns to one interception was better than Roethisberger’s 2-1 TD-to-INT ratio. The conclusion here is both quarterbacks played well enough to win and in this rivalry, that’s usually the case.
