As long as Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr and Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater are in the NFL, they’ll be compared. After year one, Bridgewater was considered by most to be ahead of Carr even though he had a much better team. But he did have a better record and a higher quarterback rating to support that sentiment.

Then comes year two, where they say the quarterback makes the biggest jump in his play. That’s supposed to be the big set-up for the rest of a young franchise quarterback’s career. And halfway through the big-jump season, Carr has clearly separated himself from Bridgewater.

He has already been recognized as the best quarterback 25 and under.
