This is the 2nd part of my 3-part 2016 NFL Mock Draft.
20. Seattle Seahawks: Germain Ifedi, OL Texas A&M.
The Seahawks still haven’t found that combo on the offensive line which is working. Dealing Unger has left them missing the mean streak that they used to have on their line.
Ifedi is a bit more slow footed than the last three Texas A&M tackles(Matthews Jr, Joeckel and Ogbueshi) but he’s got a better punch and is a lot meaner than those guys were.
In this, he’s a better fit for the Hawks. They need a RT or OG who can keep Alvin Bailey on the sidelines and bring back some of that attitude.
19. Buffalo Bills: Myles Jack, LB UCLA.
The Bills seem to have found some sort of chemistry on offense with Tyrod Taylor at QB.
Despite all the talent on defense, they’re middle of the pack in terms of stats and effectiveness. And a lot of this has to do with a LB corps which needs athleticism.
Jack will be coming back from an ACL tear but he has arguably the most athleticism in the draft of any player.
Putting him a defense surround by talent in the front 7 will ease his transition in the NFL so that he can blossom.
18. St Louis Rams: Josh Doctson, WR TCU.
The Rams are so desperate for wide receiver help that they just signed Wes Welker. Even with Foles at quarterback and Gurley in the backfield, they’re not seeing the kind of production at wideout that they desperately need.
Doctson could be a real fast riser in this draft. Even though he plays in a spread system meant to cause matchup problems he has all the tools that scouts look for: route running, speed, separation ability and hands.
Especially on that turf for 8 games a season, Doctson could be a real weapon.
