<p>The New York Giants took the 6’6″, 329-pound offensive tackle Eric Flowers No. 9 overall in may. The original plan was to have him on the right side with Will Beatty at the left tackle spot. Flowers was never thought of as a guy with the pass-blocking skills to protect quarterback Eli Manning’s blind side.</p> <p>He is a huge man and a road-grader in college, a skill-set that’s made more for right tackles. But Flowers had to step in at left tackle when Beatty tore his pectoral muscle in the offseason.
