Parker impressed in the offseason program but soon discovered he would need surgery on his foot. And since he returned, they have worked him into the offense very slowly with little usage. Therefore, I have to wait until we see him play before I can give him any kind of grade.

The Mike Wallace experiment didn’t work out very well for the Miami Dolphins last year. So they went into this past offseason needing a No. 1 receiver for quarterback Ryan Tannehill. And Devante Parker had more receiving yards than anyone in college football over the second half of the season last year.
His size, speed, route-runing, hands and ability to go up and get it allowed him to do that. The aforementioned traits are the sum of all the parts it takes to be a No. 1 receiver in the NFL. He also played in a pro-style offense so he was ready to make an immediate impact for the Dolphins.
