F.
The Clevland Browns loved Cameron Erving’s versatility to move from left tackle to center at Florida State last year. So the Browns took him at No. 19 overall, knowing they still had Mack on the team for 2015. The Browns are already solid at the tackle spot too and when he couldn’t win a starting job at guard, he settled for sixth man on the offensive line.

Then in Week 10, Erving got his first start for injured guard Joel Bitonio and it wasn’t pretty for him at all. On the final play of the first half, Steelers defensive end Cameron Heyward steamrolled Erving and made a tackle for a 5-yard loss. Later, on 1st-and-goal from the Steelers’ one, Erving’s penalty wiped out a TD run and the series ended with Johnny Manziel throwing an INT.
<div class=. OL. Cleveland Browns. CAMERON ERVING

Those were just rookie moments but you don’t take an offensive lineman in the first round unless he’s dominant or you need one. Neither is the case here so it’s a wonder why the Browns made this pick. The player isn’t bad but the Browns could have used more help on their run-defense or a receiver.
