But Cooper has 50 catches for 732 yards and four TDs to put himself in play to make the Pro Bowl as a rookie. He has helped quarterback Derek Carr make that big jump to his second year (4-5 so far) and the Raiders have won more games to this point than they won all of last year. He’s already a superstar and everything the Raiders drafted him for.

Oakland Raiders No. 4 overall Amari Cooper has already shown that he is a true No. 1 receiver. Since he’s been a Raider, he’s faced most of the top corners in the NFL, including Darrelle Revis and no one has been able to stay with him. He caught four out of five balls on Revis with his incompletion being a bad throw he was open deep on.
Over his nine games, he’s been a deep threat, moved the chains on third down and can taken short passes to the house. That’s what No. 1 receivers do but one thing he needs to do is focus on the ball before he runs. That has caused him to drop some balls he shouldn’t but he’s still on pace for an all-time rookie season.
