A+.
The New York Jets were loaded after free agency so getting the best player in the draft was their strategy. And boy did it work out as No. 6 overall Leonard Williams came in and balled out right away. Because of Williams’ play, the Jets defense didn’t miss a beat when Sheldon Richardson was supspened.

At the end of the season, the contract of Muhammad Wilkerson, the Jets’ best defensive lineman, will be up. Re-signing Wilkerson won’t be easy with the big contracts of guys like Darrelle Revis. Letting Wilkerson walk for more money won’t be a problem now as that’s good planning on the Jets’ part.

Williams is playing well this year, getting into the opposition’s backfield for with regularity. He has only a half a sack so far this season but he has been disruptive against the pass with the pressures he’s had. And against the run, he has six tackles for losses so far to show how well the Jets have planned ahead.
. DE. New York Jets. LEONARD WILLIAMS
