12. St. Louis Rams- Connor Cook, QB, Michigan State
It’ll be interesting offseason for the St. Louis Rams who are facing the possibility of moving to Los Angeles. A move could bring a ton of changes to the organization including a potential coaching change. Let’s be honest, Jeff Fisher hasn’t done much with the talent on this team.
The recent benching of Nick Foles means that the team has lost confidence in his long-term potential. Finding a long-term answer at quarterback has been a problem in St. Louis for several years.
Michigan State’s Connor Cook would be a great fit for this team. The Rams need a quarterback who knows how to make plays off the running game. Todd Gurley will be the focal point of the offense, but they need a quarterback capable of playing within that type of system.
Truthfully, I’d like to see the Rams make an aggressive move to land a higher rated quarterback. They have seen the rewards of the Robert Griffin III trade, but haven’t turned that into a playoff berth. The lack of stability at quarterback is why they haven’t taken the next step.
The Rams will stay a middle of the road team until they’re able to add a difference maker at the most important position.
