29. Cincinnati Bengals- Laquon Treadwell, WR, Ole Miss
Andy Dalton and the success of the Cincinnati Bengals offense has a lot to do with the presence of Tyler Eifert. The addition of another threat in the passing game provided Dalton with more options. Cincinnati’s long-term success depends on Dalton’s play and they’d be wise to consider bringing in another pass catcher.
Ole Miss’ Laquon Treadwell is a big target who can work over the middle and make plays in tight coverage. In theory, he brings some of the same skills Eifert brings to the table.
This is important because Eifert has had trouble staying healthy. Cincinnati had done a great job over the past several years using the draft to build depth. Bringing Treadwell into the mix would serve as depth at wide receiver and for Eifert in the passing game.
Cincinnati has been one of the better drafting teams over the past several years. They’ve done a great job finding talent, developing that talent and providing depth to the roster. I love how they allowed Dre’ Kirkpatrick an opportunity to sit and develop.
Their patience has paid off as Kirkpatrick is having a great season and looks to be a potential pro bowl player. They appear to be doing the same thing with former 1st-round pick Darqueze Dennard.
