3. Detroit Lions- Laremy Tunsil, OT, Ole Miss
The Detroit Lions season has been a complete mess and things to promise to get much better. This offseason is going to be very entertaining as Detroit looks to replace the majority of the front office and likely Jim Caldwell.
There isn’t one thing to pin this season’s struggles on, but the poor offensive line play does jump off the screen. This group has not only struggled to protect the quarterback but is largely responsible for the complete lack of a running game.
Ole Miss’s Laremy Tunsil is an extremely athletic offensive tackle who’ll be able to immediately step in and seize the starting left tackle job. He excels at protecting the quarterback and is improving as a run blocker.
There has been talk that the Lions could look to move on from Matthew Stafford this offseason. He hasn’t had a good year and he’s owed a lot of money moving forward. The changes in the front office could result in a separation from Stafford.
Because of his talent, there will be several teams interested in bringing Stafford on board. Detroit could move Stafford for some picks and then use their 1st round selection to grab a new franchise quarterback.
