Kevin White not giving up on playing in 2015

Remember all of the comparisons between Chicago Bears 2015 No. 7 overall Kevin White and Oakland Raiders No. 4 Amari Cooper?
Who is the best receiver of the 2015 NFL Draft?
That’s a comparison that has to wait for now because only Cooper has played this season so far. White has been tucked away on the PUP list since the preseason with a shin injury. But White is finally coming off that PUP list Tuesday to begin his 21-day practice window to either practice or be placed on season-ending injured reserve.
And the team has announced that White has medically checked out and is all set to start practicing. The hope and plan for the Bears this year was for White to come in and replace Brandon Marshall, whom they lost this offseason. He was to start on the other side of Alshon Jeffery, forming a formidable duo with him.
That obviously never got off the ground but if it did, the Bears offense would have been special. Quarterback Jay Cutler has played well this year, making do with whatever he has out there on Sundays. Star running back Matt Forte has missed his time along with Jeffery and fellow receiver Eddie Royal.
The Bears, at 4-6, aren’t out of the playoff hunt yet so they could make it interesting as they get everyone healthy. But first thing’s first, the Bears have to activate White and he’s never given up on that Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune tweeted last month, that White said he’s “not closing the door” on playing this season because “that would be like quitting.”
