player. 44.
The Atlanta Falcons have a good offense and they’re good against the run on defense. It’s hard to say how good the secondary is when they have to cover for five seconds. Edge-rusher Vic Beasley hasn’t been a huge immediate impact but he’s coming along.

Maybe some help on the other side will help Beasley and the Falcons. A good player to help would be Beasley’s former Clemson teammate Shaq Lawson. At 6’3″, 270 pounds, Lawson actually has more of the size NFL teams look for at the Leo position.

He has good speed, agility, and decent coverage skills to handle linebacker chores. A thought would be to move Beasley from the Leo Spot to strongside outside linebacker. He could blitz from there and line up at defensive end on passing downs.

Or you can leave Beasley at the Leo and put Lawson at base end. The main thing would be to get Beasley and Lawson on the field at the same time. That way, the Falcons would have the pass-rush to deal with quarterbacks Drew Brees and Cam Newton.
. DE. Clemson. Shaq Lawson. 16
