2016 NFL Mock Draft: Week 12

Oct 10, 2015; University Park, PA, USA; Penn State Nittany Lions defensive end Carl Nassib (95) pressures Indiana Hoosiers quarterback Danny Cameron (18) during the fourth quarter at Beaver Stadium. Penn State defeated Indiana 29-7. Mandatory Credit: Matthew O

The part of the defense that needs work the most is the defensive line. Jason Pierre-Paul is playing on a 1-year deal and a missing finger right now. And even if Pierre-Paul stays beyond 2015, the Giants need another edge-rusher to go along with him.

The Giants like those big, physical edge-rushers like Michael Strahan and Justin Tuck in the past. And 6’7″, 270-pound Carl Nassib, will be available to them at No. 24 overall. The nation’s leading sacker, has what exactly the Giants like coming off the edge.

Unfortunately, the New York Giants had a rash of injuries on offense this year. They still have a chance to go to the playoffs this year but won’t go too far. The defense the Giants are known for when they win championships just isn’t there right now.

Early on, there was concern that corner Prince Amukamura may price himself out of New York. But the market may not be what it would have been before he tore his pectoral. No one knows his true worth like the Giants do so something could be worked out there.
