50.
The Detroit Lions are cleaning the top of their oranization up right now. So no one knows who their G.M. is is going to be. But the combination of quarterback Matthew Stafford and receiver Calvin Johnson can still win games for the Lions.

So whoever the new G.M. is shouldn’t be in a big hurry to break them up. If anything, they should protect Stafford so the combo can stay productive. Stafford has never had a quality left tackle before as Gosder Cherilus and Riley Reiff didn’t work out.

That’s part of why Stafford was hurt so much in the beginnig of his career. So here at No. 5 overall, they get themselves a quality left tackle to protect Stafford. Then in 2016, Stafford has time to wait for Johnson to get open deep and deliver the ball.

Tunsil is also a fit in the run-game, coming from the zone-blocking scheme at Mississippi. It may be too late this year but the Lions defense looks like it’s starting to play better. Put that together with Stafford having protection and the Lions are back in the playoffs.
. OT. Mississippi. Laremy Tunsil. 6. player
