NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday that the free-agent wideout Terrelle Pryor will sign with the Cleveland Browns. The former quarterback was cut by the Browns just before the season. And since then, Pryor has gone to numerous tryouts without getting signed onto a new team.

The Plain Dealer’s Mary Kay Cabot was the one that first reported the move. She also reported that Pryor was scheduled to work out on Tuesday for the Chicaog Bears but that’s n longer necessary. Pryor’s time in Cleveland before he was cut was marred a sore hamstring he battled for most of training camp.

When he was finally cut by the Browns, Pryor Pryor told The Plain Dealer, “This will be a mistake by them.” Pryor was signed as a receiver, a position he has great potential to play with his size and speed. But it’s also worth noting that he could also be an emergency quarterback with Josh McCown set to have his collarbone X-rayed and Johnny Manziel having problems.

But right now, the emergency for the Browns is at the receiver with Andrew Wiggins and Taylor Gabriel both battling concussions. Travis Benjamin, Brian Hartline, Dwayne Bowe and Marlon Moore are all the Browns have at he position right now. And Bowe is and overpaid, underperforming veteran should be on his way out.

This is a chance for Pryor to show that his freakish athleticism can be put to good use by the team.

If he does, he may stick for the 2016 season.
