15. Laquon Treadwell, WR, Ole Miss
Ole Miss’s Laquon Treadwell has fully recovered from a horrific leg injury last season to regain his dominant form. It took him a little while to get back to full speed, but has now reestablished himself as one of the top receivers eligible for the 2016 Draft.
Treadwell is a big-bodied receiver who uses his size to his advantage. He does a good job walling off defenders and attacking the ball at its highest point. This is an aggressive player who will work through contact and make plays in contested situations.
The question mark with Treadwell is his top-end speed where he struggles at time to separate. He’s not the type of receiver who’ll outpace defenders or shake a corner with a crisp route. It’s his size and aggressiveness that makes him an effective player.
This is why I’d love to see him in a Kansas City Chiefs uniform. The Chiefs offense has taken a step forward with Jeremy Maclin in the mix but they still need more playmakers. Treadwell would fit nicely alongside Maclin giving Kansas City a speed-size mix.
The Seattle Seahawks would also make sense for Treadwell as it’s possible they’ll be without Jimmy Graham for an extended period of time.
