21. Emmanuel Ogbah, Edge, Oklahoma State
Heading into the season I wasn’t very high on Oklahoma State’s Emmanuel Ogbah. Of course, he had the natural talent to be an elite prospect but lacks polish. Things have been different this year as he has shown much better awareness.
Ogbah is going to garner most a ton of attention because he possesses a rare combination of size and athleticism. He features the explosive burst needed to rush off the edge, but also the size to hold up against the run.
Last year he was more of a flash player who jumped out by making an athletic play here and there. This year he is more consistent and playing smarter. The great thing with Ogbah is that he is far from reaching his ceiling.
NFL teams love players that they can mold and develop. Ogbah is the perfect candidate as he’s a hard worker who possesses rare measurables.
A team like the New York Jets would be a great spot for Ogbah to land. In New York, he’d be able to work with a talented defensive staff led by Todd Bowles. He also fits a need as the Jets don’t have someone capable of attacking the edge outside of a blitz.
