DE. Penn State. Carl Nassib. 23. player. 31.
The New York Giants had the injury bug bite them too much this year. They still have a chance to go to the playoffs this year but won’t go too far. The defense the Giants are known for when they win championships just isn’t there right now.

Early on, there was concern the Giants could lose corner Prince Amukamura. But his pectoral tear could shrink his market, especially if he doesn’t tear it up the rest of the season. So it’s reasonable to expect Amukamara to be back in 2016.

The part of the defense that needs work the most is the defensive line. Jason Pierre-Paul is another guy whose market shrunk this offseason with his injury. So with Pierre-Paul back in 2016, the Giants need another edge-rusher to go along with him.

The Giants like those big, physical edge-rushers like Michael Strahan and Justin Tuck in the past. And 6’7″, 270-pound Carl Nassib is the Giants’ kind of guy. The nation’s leading sacker is a former walk-on that’s especially Tom Conklin’s kind of guy.
