In Week 11, the last time All-Pro corner Darrelle Revis was seen on a football field, he as absolutely abused Houston Texans receiver DeAndre Hopkins. To add injury to that insult, Revis ended up with a concussion in the game. So his plans to get some get-back in the Jets’ next game against the Miami Dolphins didn’t work out.

Revis missed that game as he hadn’t yet gotten over all of his concussion symptom. To this day, he remains in the NFL’s concussion protocol and he has yet to even practice this week. And now, with a chance at redemption vs Odell Beckham Jr. and the New York Giants, Revis is unlikely to play.

Head coach Todd Bowles told the media after practice that he doesn’t think Revis will be good to go. It certainly hasn’t been a good look for Revis to not even be able to attend team meetings this week. Bowls told the NFL Media, “I don’t think Revis will play. He didn’t do anything today, so it’s more than likely he won’t play.”

Fans will be robbed of their chance to see what Beckham can do on Revis Island. But the ones that are really getting robbed are the Jets because Beckham is playing and someone has to cover him. That’s even compounded by the fact that Marcus Williams, his backup, hasn’t practiced all week with an MCL sprain suffered Sunday.

So it looks more thatn anything like Antonio Cromartie, who isn’t having his best year, will be on Beckham.

Stay tuned!
