David Amerson vs Jeremy Maclin can decide if the Oakland Raiders or Kansas City Chiefs win this big game.

It will have just as big an influence on the game as the rookie matchup of Amari Cooper vs Marcus Peters. Last time out, we examined that individual rookie rivalry within the big rivalry set to start on Sunday. Cooper, a receiver, was the Raiders’ 2015 1st-round pick and Peters, a corner, was the Kansas City Chiefs’ 2015 1st-round pick.

Both players were considered to be the best at their position in the 2015 NFL Draft and have made impacts on their respective teams. But as teams are built through the draft, free agency and the waiver-wire can also help build a team. The Chiefs signed receiver Jeremy Maclin in free agency and the Raiders claimed corner David Amerson off waivers from the Washington Redskins.

Both of these players have also made major contributions to their respective teams, making them better. And the two players should be matched up on each other plenty in Sunday’s big game. As mentioned at the opening of this article, it will have a big hand in who wins or loses this game.
