player. 44.
The Atlanta Falcons defensive front-7 is pretty stout against the run. Their secondary is solid too, no thanks to the pass-rush they have in front fo them. Edge-rusher Vic Beasley hasn’t been a huge immediate impact but he’ll get there eventually.

Perhaps some help on the other side would help Beasley and the Falcons. Beasley’s former Clemson teammate Shaq Lawson is just the player to help. The 6’3″, 270-pound Lawson actually has more of the size NFL teams look for at the Leo position.

He has the speed, agility and coverage skills to handle linebacker portion of it too. The smaller Beasley should be moved from the Leo spot to strongside outside linebacker. He could blitz from there and line up at defensive end on passing downs.

Or if you have to have Beasley at Leo, you can put Lawson at base end. Either way, Beasley and Lawson on the field together would work. Then the Falcons would no longer give quarterbacks like Drew Brees and Cam Newton all day to throw.
. DE. Clemson. Shaq Lawson. 16
