Bill O’Brien shuffled his quarterbacks only to find out he doesn’t have one. Ryan Mallett was found to be a big baby and essentially quit on the Houston Texans. And Brian Hoyer is known to be stop-gap material, which is why the shuffling happened.

The Texans have a solid defense, offensive line and receiver corps. And if Arian Foster doesn’t make it back, they can get a running back for that zone-scheme. What they need a solid quarterback that can simply manage the game to keep them on track.

So at No. 18 overall, O’Brien takes his guy, Christian Hackenberg. There is a lot of debate as to whether or not Hackenber should go in the first round. He’s a difficult prospect to read because he has the traits you want but doesn’t have the numbers.

Many site the situation he came up in at Penn State for his lack of production. There are even some out there that see him as a top-10 pick. That being the case, O’Brien has to be one of them as he recruited him out of high school but didn’t stay with him.
. QB. Penn State. Christian Hackenberg. 18. player. 10
