OT. Ohio State. Taylor Decker. 30. player. 45.
The Sun has definitely set on the great career of quarterback Peyton Manning. He’s not practicing yet but he has begun throwing the football. And while he focuses on getting back on the field, the Denver Broncos are winning with Brock Osweiler.

Osweiler is not yet ready to put a team on his back and carry it the way Manning used to. But he knows how to take care of the football and manage the game. With the defense the Broncos have, Osweiler won’t have to do much more than that.

But even to manage the game, the offensive line has to protect him. The Broncos have left tackle Ryan Clady coming back from injury but need another tackle. Meanwhile, Taylor Decker is a good right tackle prospect that fits the zone-blocking scheme.

So at No. 30 overall in 2016, the Broncos take Decker, who can pass-protect and run-block. Sambrailo looks like he needs another year to develop behind Clady. This pick give Osweiler the tools around him to continue to grow while winning games.
