Adolphous Washington already in trouble

Last year’s NFL Draft prospects waited until the offseason to start getting in trouble off the field. Dallas Cowboys edge-rusher Randy Gregory failed a drug test at the 2015 NFL Scouting Combine. Then just a couple of days before the 2015 NFL Draft, Shane Ray was cited for having marijuana in his car.
This year, it looks like the draft prospects aren’t going to wait so long to reveal themselves to the NFL. The Bowl games haven’t even started yet and we already have our first incident with a prospect. Ohio State Buckeyes defensive tackle Adolphus Washington was cited for solicitation on Wednesday night.
Washington is a senior so there’s nowhere else to go for the highly regarded prospect but the 2016 NFL Draft. He has already accepted and invitation to the Reese’s Senior Bowl. So when he’s not competing in on-field drills in practice or playing in the game, he’s already created a situation he’ll have to explain to NFL clubs.
The 6’4″ 290-pound Washington has been disruptive at the heart of the Buckeyes’ defense this season. Right now, he has 49 tackles, seven of them for loss and four sacks. Head coach Urban Meyer told College Football 24/7 a while ago that Washington had outstanding potential as a pro prospect.
Solicitation isn’t going to be as big of a red flag as a drug related charge but getting into trouble is getting into trouble. Plus he was projected to go on the borderline of the first and second round, not solidly in the first. So the little shot he had at the first round just went with this incident unless he absolutely blows the combine up.
Then again, someone else at his position can get in trouble too.
