25. Washington Redskins (6-7)- Jalen Ramsey, DB, Florida State

Florida State’s Jalen Ramsey is an elite athlete who is still trying to find a fit on the field. He has seen time at both cornerback and safety throughout the course of his college career. His play at both positions has had both positives and negatives.

Ramsey’s technique, footwork and instincts are behind where it should be at this point in his development. The problem might be that Florida State keeps moving him around the field and asking him to play different roles.

This makes it tough to get a good feel for how he’ll adjust at the next level. Ramsey would really benefit from getting plugged in at one position where he can perfect his craft.

The Washington Redskins have needs at both cornerback and safety. Ramsey’s experience at both means Washington could use their evaluations to determine where his future is brightest. I’ve seen more signs that he fits at safety than at corner.

Ramsey will be one of the more interesting storyline come April.

Washington could also look to improve other areas of the roster such as linebacker or defensive line. Someone like Alabama’s Reggie Ragland would look great in the middle of the defense. This would help address the unit’s struggles shutting down the running game.
