30. Arizona Cardinals (11-2)- Carl Lawson, Edge, Auburn
The Arizona Cardinals have become one of the best teams in the NFL and it has a lot to do with balance. They have a ton of talent on both sides of the ball which allows them to register wins in several different ways. This wide-range of talent gives the Cardinals a lot of options come draft time.
One area that could use a boost is the pass rush. They rank in the bottom half of the league with only 24 sacks on the season. Dwight Freeney and Alex Okafor are their biggest pass-rushing threats which doesn’t scare many teams.
Auburn’s Carl Lawson is a young and emerging edge rusher. He plays with a high-motor and great snap awareness. Lawson has the quickness to attack the edge and balance to flatten out as he pursues the quarterback.
He has a red-flag because of some injuries through his career. However, he has proven to be an impactful player when on the field. The Cardinals will no doubt take a close look at his medical tests before pulling the trigger.
Arizona could also look to add some young talent along the defensive line. Someone like Alabama’s Jonathan Allen would be a great fit in their 3-4 attack.
