Detroit Lions and New Orleans Saints team needs.

Both the Lions and Saints are struggling to finish the season on a  high note. They entered the year with high expectations but slow starts quickly derailed their playoff hopes. This game doesn’t have any playoff implications but there are lot of players fighting for future roles with the team.

Detroit has a few key areas that need to be addressed in order for this team to get back on the winning track. The offensive line has been a major issue as this unit has struggled to open running lanes and allowed a lot of pressure on the quarterback.

Addressing the secondary is an other area where the Lions could focus during the offseason. However, they have a lot of money and time invested in Matthew Stafford which means they  need to help him succeed. Adding an elite offensive lineman would go a long way to helping the offense.

Ole Miss’s Laremy Tunsil and Notre Dame’s Ronnie Stanley are the top rated offensive linemen in this draft. Both are strong pass protectors as well as solid run blockers. Auburn’s Shon Coleman is a fast-rising prospect who could also be a fit for the Lions.

The majority of the Saints issues come on the defensive side of the ball. They have a few solid building blocks in Cameron Jordon, Stephone Anthony, Hau’oli Kikaha and Delvin Breaux. Even with these players on the roster the Saints have plenty of holes to fill.

Brandon Browner has been horrible this year and might be cut lose during the offseason. USC’s Kevon Seymour, LSU’s Tre’Davious White and Virginia Tech’s Kendall Fuller are the top candidates for New Orleans to target in the first round.
