USC. Marcus Allen. '82. player. 28. <p>In 1982, the Raiders, who were on there way to Los Angeles, needed a star to go into the city with. So they took Heisman Trophy winning running back Marcus Allen from USC at No. 10 overall. The Raiders just finished 7-9 in 1981 after becoming the first wildcard team to win Super Bowl in 1980.</p> <p>It didn’t take Allen long to lead the Raiders back to the top, winning NFL Rookie of the Year while getting the team into the playoffs. In his second year, he was the playoff MVP along with winning the MVP of Super Bowl XVIII. Those who saw can’t forget the greatest run in NFL History he made to help win the game.</p> <p>In 1985, Allen was the NFL MVP, setting a new record for total yards from scrimmage to last 14 years. Shortly after, there was drama between Allen and then owner Al Davis causing Allen to get benched. Then free agency started in 1993 and Allen went to play for the bitter rival Chiefs and win NFL Comeback player of the year.</p> <p>He’s the only player in NFL history to win Rookie of the Year, MVP, Playoff MVP, Super Bowl MVP and Comebacker Player of the year. He’s also the first to have over 10,000 yards rushing and 5,000 receiving. Allen is onE of the greatest all-around football players to ever play and has is spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.</p>.
