The Cincinnati Bengals aren’t known for drafting and-or signing the most intelligent players in the world. But Vontaze Burfict and have gone past dumb into a whole new category over their respective careers. Jones is most known for the shooting outside a strip club during the 2007 NBA All-Star Game weekend, leaving a man paralyzed from the waist down.

Then after, being suspended from the NFL, laying low, and making it back to being a prominent player with the Bengals, he acted up on the field this year. On a play in which Oakland Raiders receiver Amari Cooper lost his helmet, Jones, standing over him, rammed the back of his head into the helmet.

Burfict was an undrafted free agent in 2012 because he failed a drug test at the 2012 NFL Scouting combine among other things. Just a few week ago, he was fined for a dirty low hit on Pittsburgh Steelers running back Ben Roethlisberger. We understand that football is an emotional game but at some point, there has to be some logic used.

If you don’t use logic, you end up doing things that can ultimately cost your football team a victory. And that’s what the Bengals’ version of Dumb and Dumber, did to their Bengals on Saturday. Back-to-back unsportsmanlike conduct penalties gave the Pittsburgh Steelers 30 yards, leading to a chip-shot game-winning field goal.

Burfict was dumb for taking a shot at Steelers receiver Antonio Brown’s head on a pass he couldn’t catch. Jones, who’s been in the league longer, is dumber to talk trash to Steelers assistant coach Joey Porter when he came onto the field to help Brown get off the field. Then after the game, Jones took to Instagram and got even dumber.

“The [expletive] ref did a horrible [expletive] job,” Jones said. “You got Jerry Porter in the middle of the [expletive] field talking [expletive] to everybody and then when somebody says something to him … he isn’t even supposed to be on the [expletive] field.”

Not only was this a childish rant after he cost his team the game but he didn’t know who he was talking about. Jerry Porter is a former Oakland Raiders receiver that wasn’t in the building to anyone’s knowledge. The last name is the same but Joey is the assistant coach that Jones decided to talk trash to.

So Dumb and Dumber lose it on the field, causing the Bengals to lose the game.

How much longer are the Bengals going to allow Marvin Lewis to bring in guys he can’t control?
