Buffalo Bills receiver Percy Harvin is a dynamic playmaker in so many ways when he’s on the field. He can spectacular plays is the return game, as a deep threat, running after the catch and out of the backfield. But one problem with Harvin is he hasn’t been able to get on the field, appearing in only 28 of his last possible 64 games.

Another is getting him for a price that fits under the salary cap. Then there are the injuries caused the Bills to void his contract this year so there will be some serious negotiations to bring him back. And GM Doug Whaley has come out in public about wanting to bring Harvin back, once is healthy.

He told the team’s official website “Absolutely. No doubt about it. Obviously the first thing for Percy is he’s got to get completely healthy. Once he’s healthy we’ll reach out to his guy and explain that we’d like to have him back. I think when he was on the field people took notice and he helped us when Sammy was out. So we would love to have him back.”

The first thing the Bills must do is determine whether or not if the wideout even wants to play. Before he was place on injured reserve, there was speculation that Harvin could consider retiring. Around a month ago, head coach Rex Ryan told ESPN.com that he’s been texting with Percy Harvin and “gets the sense” Harvin wants to resume his playing career.

So if he wants to play and the Bills want him, there shouldn’t be a big problem getting this one done. And if Harvin can get and stay healthy he and youngster Sammy Watkins will be a nightmare for opposing secondaries. And maybe all that junk he’s been talking about beating the Patriots can finally come true.
