RB. Notre Dame. C.J. Prosise. 5. player. 28.
Raiders running back Latavius Murray has developed into a Pro Bowler at his position. But the scary thing for the Raiders is if he gets hurt, which has happened, they have no one behind him. The Raiders need a 3rd-down back anyway as Murray has displayed that catching the ball isn’t his strength.

And Roy Helu, who the Raiders brought in for that role, didn’t do much when he was on the active roster. So the Raiders should take C.J. Prosise in the fifth round as the former receiver has excellent hands. The 6’1″, 220-pounder also he runs with authority and through contact to drive for extra yardage.

The 3rd-and-1 or 3rd-and-short situations are another area that Murray isn’t particularly great in. So the Raiders didn’t have anyone that could consistently get those drive-sustaining first downs and short touchdowns. Prosise can go in and a create a 3rd-down-and-short-yardage role himself right away.
