Team Needs: OL, WR, DE

Tyrod Taylor impressed in his first year as a starter, but suffered several injuries along the way. The dual-threat QB fought his way through the pain, but the entire offensive line needs to be improved for the Bills to continue its success. Left tackle Cordy Glenn is a free agent and will command a big contract, while right tackle(s) Sentrell Henderson and Cyrus Kouandjio have both been disappointing. Guard Richie Incognito was a controversial signing at first, but his play more than outweighed the negative press. Now a free agent, Incognito is “anxious to resign in Buffalo”.

Three Options: Donald Penn (FA), Ronnie Stanley, Taylor Decker

The former Hokie could also use some new targets. Ryan and offensive coordinator Greg Norman want to operate a run-heavy offense, but with free agent Percy Harvin often injured and contemplating retirement, some fresh blood is needed at the position. Sammy Watkins is great, but Taylor needs someone else to throw to other than him and Charles Clay.

Three Options: Rueben Randle (FA), Josh Doctson, Michael Thomas

Rex Ryan’s hiring also brought a change in defensive scheme from a 4-3 to a 3-4, and it took players some time to adjust. Star defensive end Mario Williams struggled to pick up the different system, and may be cut by the Bills in the off season. A stud pass rusher, either at linebacker or defensive end is needed for Rex’s defense to get back to where he wants it to be.

Three Options: Courtney Upshaw (FA), Noah Spence, Carl Nassib
