Last week, I took part in a live twitter four round 2016 NFL mock draft that was done under the hashtag #PCmock. I represented the New Orleans Saints in the draft which was hosted by Chris Nicolaou of Draftbreakdown. You can follow him on twitter here: https://twitter.com/CnicNFL.

Here’s what I ended up with as the Mock GM of the Saints. I traded Mark Ingram for an extra 3rd round pick:
1st(12th overall): Emmanuel Ogbah, DL Oklahoma State. I rate Ogbah much higher than most. I see Strahan 2.0 if he goes to the right team and with Cam Jordan now locked in with the Saints, Ogbah doesn’t have to carry the defensive line. I wanted Vernon Hargreaves III, but the Bears took him at pick #11.

2nd(48th overall): Hunter Henry, TE Arkansas. One of the reasons the Saints’ offense wasn’t as good in 2015 and they were in 2014 was losing Jimmy Graham. Ben Watson was decent, but he’s quite old and a free agent. Henry needs to work on his blocking but he should contribute immediately as a Joker TE split out at the WR spots.

3rd(79th overall): Vadal Alexander, OL LSU. A pure “BPA” pick. Alexander is too slow footed to stay at tackle in the NFL, but the Saints needed a guard even before Jahri Evans was released. Alexander should be able to start for the Saints day 1.

3rd(93rd overall): Jalen Mills, DB LSU. He might be a Jimmie Ward clone: a tweener between FS and slot/nickel corner but the Saints need that right now. Even if all the team gets is a backup FS to Byrd until they cut him and a slot corner to take a Z wideout, it’s well worth the pick.

4th(110th overall): Devonte Booker, RB Utah. Another pure “BPA” pick. Booker is recovering from yet another knee injury but with Spiller and the usual carousel of no-name backs, the Saints can wait until he’s 100%. When healthy, he could be one of the most complete backs that Peyton has had.
