The 2016 NFL Draft is loaded with Ohio State prospects that could see as many as 6 players selected in the first round. They even have someone, Joey Bosa, who could be the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. It’s crazy to think that a team with some much NFL talent wasn’t able to even make it to the college football playoffs.
This group also features some high-risk high-reward prospects like quarterback Cardale Jones. He has the type of talent to potentially develop into the best player out of the entire draft class.
It’s interesting to note that an NFL team could almost field a complete secondary out of Ohio State prospects. Vonn Bell, Eli Apple and Tyvis Powell have enough talent to create a solid NFL secondary on their own.
The same could be said about the front seven prospects with the likes of Bosa, Adolphus Washington, Darron Lee and Josh Perry. That’s seven defensive prospects who could make an immediate impact just on the defensive side of the ball.
It’s a similar story on offense where Jones, Ezekiel Elloitt, Taylor Decker and Michael Thomas who all have a chance to be above-average NFL starters. The train from Ohio State to the NFL doesn’t stop after this draft as there are several high-profile prospects getting ready for next year.
