53.
Those that saw quarterback Carson Wentz at the combine came away thoroughly impressed with him. Many had him as the No. 2 quarterback in the draft but now, he’s the consensus No. 1. The word on the combine streets now is Wentz is the best quarterback prospect in the draft and it’s not even close.

In the athletic portion of things, he showed up well, running a 4.77 in the 40-yard dash on Saturday. He also measured in well with good quarterback size at 6’5″, 237 pounds with 10-inch long hands. However, it was when the quarterbacks started throwing that Wentz was able to drop jaws.

His big arm led NFL Network draft analysts to compare him to Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco. Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson did wonders with him as his quarterbacks coach from 2008-2009. Wentz’ arm is going to come in handy in the AFC North when the weather gets bad in those outdoor stadiums.

He’ll likely have stud receiver Josh Gordon coming back while they need to re-sign speedster Travis Benjamin. Keeping center Alex Mack and right tackle Mitchell Schartz would be huge too. And with tight end Barnidge coming back, the rookie would work with an offense he could produce in right away.
. QB. North Dakota State. Carson Wentz. 2. player
