Cleveland Browns quarterback Robert Griffin III has been to hell and back in the NFL. And now, he has all the king’s horses and all the king’s men, trying to put him back together again. The Browns took him in as a reclamation project after Washington Redskins deactivated him in 2015 and cut him this offseason.

Browns head coach Hue Jackson is known as a quarterback whisperer with a proven track record. He got Joe Flacco to play well as a rookie for the Baltimore Ravens and Andy Dalton had his best year with the Cincinnati Bengals under Jackson’s tutelage. He even made draft bust Jason Campbell look like a legitimate starting NFL quarterback with the Oakland Raiders for a time.

But Jackson is just one of the king’s horses and men that’s there to help put RGIII back together again. The Browns are trying to break Griffin all the way down to square-1 and build him back up. That means they’re starting with the most basic things like cleaning up RGIII’s throwing motion.

According to Cleveland.com, Griffin will soon start working with renown throwing instructor Tom House. House is most known for the work he did with All-World quarterback Tom Brady. He has also worked with other Jackson pupils like Carson Palmer and A.J. McCarron and he knows Jackson’s scheme well.

Last year, House worked extensively with Dalton, combining with Jackson to propel him to No. 2 in the NFL with a 106.3 rating. Griffin’s workouts will start this coming week, leading him into the Browns’ offseason program that starts on April 4th. He will then return to work with House in the down time between minicamp and training camp in July.

Jackson checked to see if RGIII had been humbled by his fall from grace before signing him. He knew if that were the case, the talented RGIII would be willing to put the necessary work in. House will tighten up RGIII’s throwing motion so he can get the ball out of his hands quicker to avoid sacks and hits.

Jackson will teach him how to properly read defenses so he knows where to go with the ball on a given play. I went back and forth on this at first but now, I’m betting on the House-Jackson combo. Together, they’re going to put RGIII back together and in turn, he’s going to surprise a lot of people in 2016.
