Going into the Mississippi Pro Day Monday, Mississippi had three 1st-round prospects. Two of the prospects are considered to be the best in their respective positions while one of them should be. Left tackle prospect Laremy Tunsil was considered the best left tackle and overall prospect while Laquon Treadwell was considered the best receiver prospect.

Meanwhile, defensive line prospect Robert Nkemdiche should be the best d-line and overall prospect. Nkemdiche is a freak athlete but his lack of production character issues of raised red flags. After the Mississippi Pro Day, it doesn’t look like a thing has changed with either one of the prospects.

Treadwell is known to be a big, physical receiver that’s a great route-runner with great hands but lacks elite athleticism. At the Mississippi Pro Day, he confirmed the route-running with a 6.71 3-cone drill time and in drills while also showing his hands in drills. He also confirmed that he’s not an elite athlete, running the 40-yard dash in the mid-4.6s and posting a 33-inch vertical leap.

Tunsil once again showed his electric feet in drills and while he didn’t run the 40, he bench pressed 225 34 times. Not only is that a great number for his 34 3/8-inch long arms but it’s tied for the best at his position at the 2016 NFL Scouting Combine. With that, Tunsil put an even stronger hold on his status as the No. 1 left tackle and overall prospect.

Nkemdiche looked like a beast in his positional workout as he stood on his numbers from the combine. However, the same questions about his character remain as there is no way to overcome that now. So all three of Mississippi’s prospects came out of this Pro Day the same way they went in.
