On Thursday morning came the trade heard around the NFL world!
The Los Angeles Rams are trying to return to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum with a bang in 2016! Hold your mock drafts up because this move will certainly shake up the top of the real draft. As you can see from above, the Tennessee Titans made out like bandits as the Rams paid a king’s ransom.
This is a win-now move if I’ve ever saw one for the Rams, who only need a quarterback to contend. Head coach Jeff Fisher has to be on his ninth life as he hasn’t produced much since his arrival. So it’s playoffs or bust for the Rams in their first year back in a playoffs-0r-bust city.
The team is already built with great defense and 2015 No. 10 overall Todd Gurley running the ball. Tavon Austin, the team’s 2013 No. 8 overall, even started to play up to his draft status in 2015. If the Rams get the right quarterback with the pick, there’s no telling what the talented receiver will do.
The Rams are taking this risk because they need go back to Los Angeles with at least a new face of the franchise. The Rams already have conducted on-campus workouts with both QBs so they obviously like one of them. They then made the move out of fear that a quarterback-needy team in the top 10 would take him.
Watch out for the Rams in the NFC West if they pick Jared Goff!
The Titans are on their way as well.
