At UCLA’s pro day on March 15 with more than 100 NFL personnel on hand, LB prospect Myles Jack looked athletic. At the time, he estimated that he was at about 80 percent back from his knee injury last season. But he still had an impressive 40 inch-vertical leap and 10-foot-4 broad jump.

He didn’t run the 40 that day or later but still looked like the dynamic athlete I’ve been watching on tape in his drills. So to me, it looked like a lock that he would make it to camp on time and have an uninterupted rookie season. The some of all those parts should mean that Jack is going to be a Top-5 draft pick.

But somehow, there are supposedly questions about his health after his medical recheck Friday. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported that there were “differing opinions,” resulting in mixed reviews among NFL teams on Jack’s progress from his meniscus tear. Some NFL teams are supposedly concerned that the healing process hasn’t gone fast enough.

You know what that is, don’t you?

The versatile, do-it-all linebacker prospect was cleared to do his thing by the doctors at the combine. It’s those NFL team doctors that have all these differing opinions about his healing process. In the case of fellow linebacker prospect Jaylon Smith, the combine doctors declared him unfit to play in 2016.

But in this case, you have unnamed team doctors with the agenda of making the teams in front of them pass on him. I’d be willing to bet anyone $10 to a glazed donut that the teams in the Top-5 that can get him all have him healthy. If you are a fan of a team that has a chance to get Jack, there’s nothing to worry about.
