Bottom Line

I can hear you all saying, “Man, you need to give this up already, he’s not coming back!” I may very well need to give it up but he doesn’t have to come back because he’s not officially retired. Being officially retired requires you to fill out papers, something that he hasn’t done like former Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has.

As you can see from free agency, GM Reggie McKenzie is going all in for the 2016 football season. There were all kinds of free agents tweeting, “I’m trying to get to Oakland! and the ones McKenzie wanted did. If he hadn’t already thought of how he could go home to play football, this offseason had to make him think about it.

All he has to do is continue not to file the papers and the Seahawks will have to release him, making him free. I actually gave up on this for a while until the NBC PFT story because it makes a lot of since. Plus I just don’t think 2015 was the type of year Lynch wants to retire from the NFL on.

Either way, all Lynch needs to do is file the papers and I’ll shut up!
