2016 NFL Draft 2nd Round

32. Cleveland Browns

Treadwell is a 1st round talent who could see a draft-day slide because of his lack of elite speed. This scenario would be great for the Browns as it allows them to land playmaker on the outside capable of developing into a No. 1 receiver.. WR. Ole Miss. Laquon Treadwell . 32. player. 53

33. Tennessee Titans

player. 35. The 2nd round is going to belong to the Titans who own three of the first 14 picks in the round. Kevin Dodd is coming off a highly productive season that he capped off with a dominating performance in the National Championship game. He has the burst and bend to generate consistent pressure off the edge.. DE. Clemson. Kevin Dodd . 33

34. Dallas Cowboys

Emmanuel Ogbah . 34. player. 123. Ogbah is an elite athlete with the size needed to hold up against the run. He’s still developing as a player but has enough raw skills to make an immediate impact.. DE. Oklahoma State

35. San Diego Chargers

13. I have Bell rated as a mid-1st round prospect, but he drops in this mock draft because the consensus is he’s a fringe 1st-rounder. This would be a dream scenario for the Chargers who find a long-term replacement for Eric Weddle. Bell is an elite cover safety who can patrol center field and drop into the slot.. SS. Ohio State. Vonn Bell . 35. player

36. Baltimore Ravens

36. player. 26. Correa features the burst to generate pressure off the edge. He would give the Ravens a young edge rusher to learn behind Terrell Suggs and Elvis Dumervil.. OLB. Boise State. Kamalei Correa

37. San Francisco 49ers

DT. Illinois. Jihad Ward . 37. player. 42. Ward has the ideal build and skill set to play the 5-technique position in a 3-4 system. While he has natural talent, I have him rated more as a 4th round prospect than someone who should come off the board early in the 2nd round.

38. Jacksonville Jaguars

Cravens is a hybrid safety/linebacker prospect who has a chance to work his way into the 1st round. He’s better suited to play linebacker than recent hybrid prospects because he’s physical at the point of attack and is committed to using his hands.. OLB. Southern California. Su'a Cravens . 38. player. 52

39. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Noah Spence . 39. player. 48. Spence’s off-field issues make it tough to really get a feel on his draft stock. The one thing we do know is that he’s one of the top edge rushers in this draft class.. DE. Eastern Kentucky

40. New York Giants

Robert Nkemdiche . 40. player. 31. Nkemdiche is one of several prospects in this draft who have elite talent but issues off the field. If he’s able focus on football Nkemdiche could easily develop into a high-impact defender.. DT. Ole Miss

41. Chicago Bears

player. 57. Chicago heads into the draft with Charles Leno Jr. penciled in as their starting left tackle. Leno showed some real promise last year, but he’s still an unknown. Grabbing Jason Spriggs would give the Bears a high-upside backup to develop.. OT. Indiana. Jason Spriggs . 41

42. Miami Dolphins

Kenny Clark . 42. player. 59. Miami’s defense was one of the worst against the run thanks to a lack of depth along the defensive line. Kenny Clark is a stout defender who excels at stuffing the run.. DT. UCLA

43. Tennessee Titans

35. I wouldn’t be shocked if Sterling Shepard snuck into the 1st round. He’s an excellent route-runner who creates a ton of separation. He’s the type of receiver that makes things easier for a quarterback which should appeal to the Titans who are working to develop Marcus Mariota.. WR. Oklahoma. Sterling Shepard . 43. player

44. Oakland Raiders

The long-term health of Mario Edwards Jr. is in question which makes adding depth along the defensive line a need for the Raiders. Vernon Butler has a lot of the same traits as Edwards thanks to his ability to work on the interior or off the edge. DT. Louisiana Tech. Vernon Butler . 44. player. 28

45. Tennessee Titans

Fuller is another prospect who could easily hear his name called on Thursday night, but luckily for the Titans he’s available here. The Broncos showed this past season how valuable it is to have at least 3 highly-talented cornerbacks.. CB. Virginia Tech. Kendall Fuller . 45. player. 35

46. Detroit Lions

Mississippi State. Chris Jones . 46. player. 50. Chris Jones is an explosive defensive tackle who flashes the ability to be extremely disruptive. However, he has a poor motor and routinely takes plays off. This is a major issue and the reason I have him rated as a 4th-round prospect.. DT

47. New Orleans Saints

15. Xavien Howard is another prospect that I have rated much lower than most. He has good athleticism and size for the position but is very raw. Howard tends to get lost when playing zone coverage and struggles tracking the ball in the air. He’s going to need time to develop before he’s ready to see the field.. CB. Baylor. Xavien Howard . 47. player

48. Indianapolis Colts

Le’Raven Clark has the measurables and athleticism evaluators love to see in an offensive tackle prospect. The issue is he needs time improve his footwork and to gain experience working in a pro-style system.. OT. Texas Tech. Le'Raven Clark . 48. player. 46

49. Buffalo Bills

player. 16. There’s some buzz out there that the Bills might consider taking Christian Hackenberg in the 1st round, but luckily for them he drops to the 2nd in this mock draft. This is a curious situation because Tyrod Taylor had a really strong season last year.. QB. Penn State. Christian Hackenberg . 49

50. Atlanta Falcons

50. player. 44. Matt Ryan’s struggles last season should give the Falcons a hint that he needs more weapons. Julio Jones was the only legitimate receiving threat on the roster. Ryan was at his best when he had Tony Gonzalez attacking the seam. Jerell Adams has the size and speed to bring the tight end position back into the fold.. TE. South Carolina. Jerell Adams

51. New York Jets

Derrick Henry . 51. player. 30. One way to help take the focus off the quarterback situation in New York is by improving the ground game. Derrick Henry’s physical running style would fit in nicely with the Jets who would like to win with defense and by controlling the clock.. RB. Alabama

52. Houston Texans

Georgia Tech. Adam Gotsis . 52. player. 10. Houston needs some help along the defensive line—especially at the 5-technique spot opposite J.J. Watt. Gotsis is a powerful defender who does a great job setting the edge, but also can make some plays in the backfield.. DT

53. Washington Redskins

54. Minnesota Vikings

Chad Greenway is back for another year in Minnesota, but his time in the league is coming to an edge. Adding an explosive playmaker like Deion Jones would help the Vikings replace Greenway when he decides to hang it up.. OLB. LSU. Deion Jones . 54. player. 60

55. Cincinnati Bengals

FS. Clemson. T.J. Green . 55. player. 56. There’s a lot of love out there for T.J. Green which is mainly due to his combination of size and athleticism. Reports are saying that teams see him more as a cornerback which has helped his draft stock. Cincinnati makes sense for Green as they need to add depth at both safety and corner.

56. Seattle Seahawks

DT. South Carolina State. Javon Hargrave . 56. player. 36. Javon Hargrave could easily sneak into the 1st round because he has that type of potential. He’s a versatile defender who can occupy blocker or penetrate the pocket.

57. Green Bay Packers

Green Bay needs some inside linebacker depth so they can move Clay Matthews back to the outside where he can focus on rushing the passer. Joshua Perry is a physical presence in the middle who does a good job attacking the line of scrimmage.. OLB. Ohio State. Joshua Perry . 57. player. 49

58. Pittsburgh Steelers

DT. Ohio State. Adolphus Washington . 58. player. 55. Pittsburgh is always on the lookout for defensive line depth and talent. Adolphus Washington is a perfect fit for their system as a 5-technique.

59. Kansas City Chiefs

59. player. 124. The age of Tamba Hali, injury to Justin Houston and lack of development of Dee Ford makes outside linebacker a need in Kansas City. Joe Schobert has the burst to work off the edge, but brings versatility as he could also move to inside linebacker.. OLB. Wisconsin. Joe Schobert

60. New England Patriots

47. Austin Johnson is an extremely underrated prospect who is one of the top run-stuffers in this draft. New England is a team that understands the need for depth along the defensive line.. DT. Penn State. Austin Johnson . 60. player

61. New England Patriots

47. I have Shon Coleman rated as a 1st-round prospect thanks to his athleticism, aggressiveness and upside. He will need some time to improve his footwork, but the talent is there for him to develop into an elite left tackle. I see DJ Humphries when looking at Coleman.. OT. Auburn. Shon Coleman . 61. player

62. Carolina Panthers

CB. Clemson. Mackensie Alexander . 62. player. 87. Alexander’s aggressiveness and savvy are things the Panthers seem to look for in defensive backs. The loss of Josh Norman makes adding talent at cornerback a major need.

63. Denver Broncos

Michigan State. Connor Cook . 63. player. 45. Connor Cook is my No. 3 rated quarterback and someone who’s being extremely underrated. Most seem to overlook the fact that he worked out of a pro-style system at Michigan State that didn’t give him a lot of high percentage throws. He’s NFL ready which is something that the Broncos may find attractive.. QB
