Jacksonville Jaguars select Jalen Ramsey in first round of the 2016 NFL Draft
Jacksonville Jaguars select Jalen Ramsey to help their secondary.
Two expected picks, 1 slight shocker and the Cowboys got their Running back of the future. Everything seemed to go as planned for the Jaguars to take the best secondary player in the draft by far. Jalen Ramsey not only gives the the Jags an elite cover corner but also makes the Jags a debatable top 10 defense almost instantly. They spent a fortune getting Malik Jackson from the Broncos but along with the FSU alum this is going to give their AFC South opponents nightmares.
Ramsey never got the obscene amount of interceptions but what he does give is a long, rangy swiss army knife with almost limitless possibilities. You can even also make the argument that they now have a defence that can match their explosive offense. Whenever the Jacksonville faithfull would originally be woeful when Paul Posluszny’s group got on the field. Now that’s not the case. He’s been compared to Tyrann Mathieu time and time again for his playmaking abilities.
Attitude has also never been the slightest of concerns for this stud. Also this is now the identity of the Jag’s secondary for a team that really had…. Davon House and Demetrius McCray. (Really confidence inspiring) Now the only thing is for the Jaguars faithful to be concerned about is health. Last year’s 1’st round pick Dante Fowler Jr. went down for the entire first year. As long as health remains on their side Ramsey, Jackson, Fowler, and Posluszny will make this team a beast in the AFC.
