The Miami Dolphins select Laremy Tunsil to add a huge piece to their offensive line.

Obviously, the Dolphins don’t care about the crazy video/picture posted on social media right before the draft. It’s sort of easy to understand based on the level of talent we’re talking about. Tunsil is a truly elite talent who could quickly become one of the best left tackles in the NFL.

This helps the Dolphins move on from the injury prone Brandon Albert. Miami is committed to Ryan Tannehill and adding an elite pass-protector will help him scan the field.

The risk is apparent as Tunsil needs to show that football is important to him. We’ve seen players with substance abuse issues really struggle to stay clean and on the field. Players like Johnny Manziel, Josh Gordon and Justin Blackmon are just a few that come to mind.

Miami must feel really good about Adam Gase and his ability to control a locker room. He’s going to have his hands full with Tunsil and other wildcard players like Ndamukong Suh on the roster.

The Dolphins had other needs such as holes in the secondary, along the defensive line and in the linebacking corps. Someone like Shaq Lawson would’ve made a ton of sense as someone to help replace Olivier Vernon and eventually Mario Williams and Cam Wake.

William Jackson III would have been an option at cornerback as someone with tremendous upside. Miami will need to live with this pick that could end up being a major steal or bust.
